How to arrive
ARRIVING IN VERNAZZA BY TRAIN
The town is located along the Genova-La Spezia Pisa-Livorno-Rome railway line. To reach it you can arrive with Intercity trains to Levanto or La Spezia and then continue with local trains, whose runs, except for the night, are very frequent, especially in summer.
During the summer season, there is a shuttle service organized by the Cinque Terre Park Authority which connects Sarzana to Levanto and stops in all the towns in the area. For more detailed information, consult the Trenitalia website.
ARRIVING IN VERNAZZA BY CAR
It is necessary to take the panoramic Litoranea delle Cinque Terre, which connects Monterosso to Riomaggiore. A difficult road that requires particular attention to driving, but which offers breathtaking views. Before arriving in this stretch of road it is useful to know that in the Cinque Terre area there are no petrol stations, the nearest distributors are in Levanto and La Spezia.

Exit at Carrodano of Livorno / Genova A12 tollbooth and descend as far as Levanto, in Levanto go uphill and find the junction for Monterosso. The junction for Vernazza meets shortly after the Shrine of Our Lady of Soviore; starting from here the panoramic winding road, despite being in good condition and well marked, is very narrow; you will still need to pay attention to any vehicles coming in the opposite direction.
Travel time is approximately 45 minutes.

The S.Stefano Magra exit of the Livorno / Genova A12 or the Parma A15 / La Spezia, is connected to La Spezia by a section of fast speed highway, arrived in the city follow the signs for the Cinque Terre.
After walking along the seafront and past the Military Arsenal, take the Cinque Terre road (SS370). The junction for Vernazza meets a few kilometers after the village of Volastra; at this point the road narrows a lot and descends almost precipitously towards the sea, even in this case it will be good to pay maximum attention to vehicles coming in the opposite direction.

PARK THE CAR IN VERNAZZA
The Vernazza car park is about 1 km away. before arriving at the inhabited center, therefore it will be advisable to park your car because from here on access is allowed only to residents with a permit.
The parking has about 90 seats and the daily rate is € 16.00 (for 24 h), the payment must be made directly to the parking staff.
To reach the inhabited center there is a shuttle service (free for those who use the parking lot) active from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm from the parking area to the entrance of the historic center of the town (Fontanavecchia).
